About Cafe Olé
Cafe Olé, a delightful spot, welcomes you with its vivid decor and snug ambience, an ideal stop for a casual Cafe treat, breakfast, or brunch amid Philadelphia’s enchanting Old City. Their menu introduces a symphony of Shakshuka, featuring six variations. From the traditional Standard to the exotic Moroccan with chicken and the wholesome Vegan with tofu, the options are tantalizing. The one we chose, the Vegetable Shakshuka, was truly a visual and gastronomic delight. The fusion of spinach, chickpeas, potatoes, mushrooms, and poached eggs embraced by a zesty tomato sauce was a flavorful revelation.
Breaking away from the customary Eggs Benedict, this dish offered a refreshing twist. The hummus crown added a delightful layer of taste, a harmony of flavors that left us craving more. While undoubtedly a healthier choice than Eggs Benedict, we couldn’t resist indulging in their freshly baked rolls, a perfect companion to the generous Shakshuka.
Sharing was a joy, given the hearty portions. My Chai Tea latte complemented the meal splendidly. Conveniently located, Cafe Olé serves as a gateway to exploring Old City, making it an ideal pitstop before visiting iconic spots like the Liberty Bell and historic Elfreth’s Alley. Venture forth for a memorable gastronomic journey and heritage exploration, seamlessly blended in this charming locale.
